Mustardseed & Moonshine

Mustardseed & Moonshine was founded by Kate Carlyle in Cape Town, South Africa in 1992 to celebrate her love of the botanical form. The idea was to make beautiful ceramic flowers that were both usable and lasting, flowers that were meticulously crafted, and yet simultaneously robust and functional.

Although Mustardseed & Moonshine has grown over the years, it remains a studio of dedicated artists and the pride that goes into each piece is tangible. The artists who hand-make all of these delicate flowers from Ramekins to Salad Bowls in high-fired earthenware, work with love and dedication to bring a truly original piece to you. All their work is dishwasher, oven and microwave proof.

Training is a key part of their philosophy. Each person is equipped with the necessary skills to become a valuable member of the team, specialising in a particular field.

Today Mustardseed & Moonshine supply some of the world's top interior stores and their work is represented in collections around the globe, including the National Musee of Ceramique in Sevres.
