The Property Show by Private Property joins Decorex Joburg, creating South Africa's most comprehensive property and home ownership event
First-time buyers, investors and homeowners can get expert financial guidance and home design inspiration under one roof for the first time.
15/07/2026
For the first time, South
Africans looking to buy, invest in or improve
their homes can access expert property and
financial guidance alongside leading home design
and lifestyle inspiration in a single
destination, as The Property Show by Private
Property, proudly sponsored by Nedbank, joins
Decorex Joburg at the Sandton Convention Centre
from 30 July to 2 August 2026.
The
partnership brings together two of South
Africa's most established consumer platforms at
a moment when property decisions have rarely
felt more consequential. With first-time
homebuyer activity picking up, more South
Africans are actively researching homeownership
and looking for trusted, practical guidance to
help them act with confidence.
"The
Property Show was built on the belief that
better-informed buyers make better property
decisions," says Colette van Dyk, Chief
Marketing Officer, Private Property. "Bringing
it into Decorex means we can meet people at
every stage of that journey – whether they're
figuring out how to become bond-ready, thinking
about building wealth through property or
planning their next renovation."
Sian
Cullingworth, Business Development Director,
Decorex Africa adds: "Decorex has always been
about helping South Africans create homes they
love. Adding the depth of financial and property
expertise that The Property Show brings makes
this year's Joburg edition unlike anything we've
done before."
A programme built around the full property journey
Since launching
in 2017, The Property Show has grown into one of
South Africa's most trusted platforms for
property education and advice. Its 2026
programme is structured around three content
streams – Start, Grow and Live – each designed
to meet attendees at a different stage of the
property lifecycle.
Start is built for
aspiring and first-time buyers, covering
affordability, home finance and what it takes to
become bond ready. Grow focuses on building
wealth through property, from investment
strategy to portfolio growth and long-term asset
planning. Live shifts attention to maximising
the value and enjoyment of your existing home
through renovation, design and improvement.
Expert speakers across finance, economics and property
Talks across all three
streams will be hosted in The Property Show
Theatre, featuring some of South Africa's most
respected voices in personal finance and
property.
Personal finance journalist
Maya Fisher-French will address credit scores,
budgeting and the specific steps first-time
buyers need to take before making an offer.
Economist John Loos will unpack the interest
rate outlook, housing affordability and where
demand is heading in the months ahead. Financial
educator and entrepreneur Nicolette Mashile will
speak to financial readiness and how to ensure
your property investment actively works for you
– not the other way around.
Exhibitors covering every aspect of ownership
Visitors will also have the opportunity to
engage directly with home loan specialists,
property investment experts, developers and home
improvement brands, including BetterBond,
Prosperity Enterprises, iTouch and Iyaf Property
Services.
A single Decorex Joburg ticket
provides access to The Property Show, expert
theatre sessions and hundreds of exhibitors,
giving visitors practical advice and inspiration
for every stage of home ownership.
