Butler’s Pizza, established in 1989, is the oldest delivery-only model in the country. This popular regional pizza chain currently services the Western Cape areas: City Bowl, N1 City, Bellville, Tableview, Newlands, Wynberg and Rondebosch. All kitchens are “dark” (the term used to describe a delivery-only restaurant) and have been since the company’s inception. Thus, Butler’s is well-poised to successfully navigate the constraints of trade within Level 4, where online ordering and home delivery of hot food is allowed.

However, instead of capitalising on the easing of lockdown restrictions and rushing back to their pizza oven’s, Butler’s have taken a far more measured, responsible route - with public health and safety in mind.

“Butler's Pizza is taking a more responsible direction under the Level 4‘s directive concerning the delivery of hot food,” stated Butler’s Pizza founder Robert Wilkinson. He adds “We want to assure all our customers of absolute peace of mind that when they order a pizza from us, they are getting the very best product produced with the very best protocols in place.”
