HERE'S HOW:

Preparation

Before you paint the fabric, give the chair frame a couple of coats of chalk paint in a complementary colour - one that goes well with you chair seat colour.

1. Use a quality paintbrush to apply chalk paint to the chair fabric. You will need to apply two coats for most fabrics, but some fabrics may need an additional coat. After applying two coats and letting dry, you should be able to determine whether additional coats are required.

2. Once the paint is thoroughly dry apply a thin coat of soft, clear wax - leave overnight and then buff to a soft sheen. The wax will deepen the colour slightly, giving it a more luxurious look.

And that's it - so easy to transform dated dining chairs with a trendy new look.
