Photo frames with mosaic tile

Make your own unique wall art with some SupaWood and mosaic tile sheets available from your local Builders Warehouse. You can have the supawood cut to any size to create small or large photo frames for your home.

Aren't they cute! A supawood backing board is cut to fit perfectly behind a mosaic tile sheet. Simply remove sections of tile to display your favourite photos or images. To mount the frames onto a wall, use small screws to attach picture hangers at the back.

To make your mosaic photo frames or art display, have the supawood cut to the sizes that you require. Use a craft knife and cutting mat to remove enough tiles to be able to display your photograph or image. The webbing that holds the tile together is easy to cut.

To stick the mosaic sheet onto the supawood board use No More Nails adhesive. Don't apply too much or the adhesive will simply squish out when you press the tile sheet flat onto the surface of the board. The adhesive dries fairly quickly, but leave or about an hour.

Use double-sided tape to stick your photo or image into the previously cut space. If you want to ensure that photographs aren't damaged, use photo-safe tape to secure. You will find a wide selection of gorgeous mosaic tile sheets at your local Builders Warehouse, ranging in price from about R40 up to R100 per sheet, depending on the style you choose.
