YOU WILL NEED:

Air-dry clay

Heart-shaped cookie cutter

Rolling pin

Wooden stamps

Acrylic craft paint and paintbrush

HERE'S HOW:

1. Use a rolling pin on a smooth surface - preferably a glass tray - to roll out the clay to 3mm thicknes. Make sure it's nice and level.

 2. A heart-shaped cookie cutter is perfect for cutting out the shape. Alternatively make a paper template and cut around this with a craft knife.

3. Stamp your message with wooden alphabet stamps.

4. Cut away any excess clay and leave to set overnight. To prevent the clay cracking and curling up, place each of the hearts on a wire cake rack.

5. Lightly sand with 180-grit sandpaper to remove any rough edges.

6. Use pastel coloured craft paint to decorate.
