YOU WILL NEED:

Wooden crate (bought or make your own wooden crate)

Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Plus, satin Dazzle Red or gloss Chile Red

Snowflake and star stencils plus stencil sponge or brush

Acrylic craft paint, white

Newspaper

Fill your Christmas crate with special gifts and place under the Christmas tree for instant festive flair.

HERE'S HOW:

1. Lightly sand before painting and wipe down to remove all traces of dust.

2.  Put down some newspaper to protect your work surface and then spray the craft with Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Plus. Apply 2 light, even coats - allowing drying time between coats. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly before moving on to the next step.

GOOD TO KNOW: Work in a well-ventilated space.

3. Dip your stencil sponge or brush in white acrylic paint and apply to the painted crate.

GOOD TO KNOW: Don't overload the stencil brush or sponge with paint. Dab onto your newspaper to remove excess paint, before stencilling.

4. Carefully lift the stencil and re-apply to finish the project.
