Many YouTubers, Pinterest and Instagram followers are developing new types of hobbies to craft in so many ways, and Raya Sader Bujana is one of those. Her intricate paper crafts of tiny houseplants in baskets have garnered quite a bit of interest across the Internet. Who would think that paper could be crafted in such a way to create these beautiful designs?

From her home base in Barcelona, Raya studied architecture in Venezuela before having to relocate to Spain. After having to continue with her studies, she decided to switch her focus onto what she loves best... paper and art design. With her work now on display in exhibitions and galleries, Raya continues her papercraft full time and loves trying out new and varying intricate patterns as part of her design work.

Everything about these intricate paper plants is painstakingly crafted by hand, from the tiny tendrils to the delicate woven baskets. Each design will fit into the palm of your hand and is beautiful.

Raya's papercraft involves plenty of careful preparation before the final creation emerges. From cutting, scoring, painting and folding, Raya turns paper into a lifelike tiny plant that forms a part of her houseplant series. She also makes the delicate baskets for her paper plants, and this alone can take many days to complete. Each paper thread is weaved in place to assemble one small basket.

Raya doesn't only work on a small scale, she has 'branched' out into larger paper designs that feature a collection of leaves and designs.
