I am sure that there are many parents struggling to keep the kids occupied during the lockdown. It's hard enough to think of activities for the kids to do during school holidays, but now with the added lockdown, the children can't even go outside to play with their friends.

I came across this lovely project that the kids can do to paint pebbles to look like minions that can be used to play a game or two of Tic-Tac-Toe. All that's really needed to set up the game is a flat expanse of paving and some chalk.

The adorable minions are pebbles painted with craft paint and then finished off with black permanent marker. Find as many smooth pebbles as you can to make your own Minion collection.

YOU WILL NEED:

Craft paint, blue, yellow and white

Permanent marker, black

Paintbrushes and a tumbler of clean water

HERE'S HOW:

1. Cover a table or worktop with newspaper to make clean-up easy. It's also a good idea for the kids to wear aprons to protect their clothes from paint spills.

2. Start by painting the blue at the bottom of the pebble and let this dry before applying 2 coats of yellow craft paint at the top.

3. Slowly start adding details, including the eyes.

4. Once all the painting is done and thoroughly dry, use a permanent marker to add finer details to the Minions.
