Use fresh oranges to make your own scented candleholders for the festive holiday season.

Add the scent of citrus to your holiday decorating with these orange scented candleholders. So easy to make, the oranges are scooped out to allow you to fit a tealight candle inside to fill your home with the citrus scent of fresh orange.

Making the orange candleholder is simple. Simply cut an orange in half using a sharp knife. Make sure to cut a line directly down the centre so that you have two equal halves.

2. Use a spoon to scoop out the pulp from both half sections.

3. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out a hole in the top half of the orange.

GOOD TO KNOW: Don't toss out the pieces you cut - you can use these to make a scented garland. Thread a needle with coloured embroidery thread to secure the orange skin sections.
