You will love this project that uses cardboard boxes and tubes to make a nifty shoe rack for the home.

09/05/2019

Make use of any cardboard boxes and cardboard tubes to make this handy shoe rack - no special tools required! Whatever size of cardboard tubes you manage to put aside, you can easily cut the holes in the sides to fit them. If you don't have any cardboard tubes but you do have some leftover PVC pipes -  use these instead.

Super simple to make, you can place the shoe rack close to your front or back door, or make it to fit in the bottom of your closet or built-in wardrobe.

YOU WILL NEED:

Cardboard boxes for the sides

Cardboard or PVC tubes for the cross pieces

Craft or utility knife

Rust-Oleum 2X spray paint

OPTIONAL: Hot glue gun

HERE'S HOW:

1. Use the size of the cardboard tube to cut the holes in the side pieces. You can make the shoe holder slightly longer if you wish, but you may need to add a centre section for added support.

2. After cutting all the pieces to size and length, spray them with Rust-Oleum 2X spray paint in your choice of colours.

3. To assemble, place the tubes through one of the side sections, as shown below.

GOOD TO KNOW: Make sure to push the tubes firmly into the holes cut in the sides.

4. Add the remaining side to the other end of the cardboard tubes.

GOOD TO KNOW: Push the cardboard tubes through the holes. If you wish, you can add some hot glue here for a more stable assembly.

And that's it... your recycled cardboard shoe rack is ready for use.
