Make small changes to a bathroom for a big improvement

A few small changes to a bathroom can have a dramatic impact on the atmosphere and feel of the room...

Hidden gem

This vinyl-covered tub surround and matching vinyl floor needed to be a thing of the past. Make an existing bathtub glam by refurbishing it with copper glass tiles and modern, ceramic floor tile - all available at your local Builders Warehouse.

Out with the old

The homeowner was desperate to transform her cold, white bathroom into a room that was more welcoming. The new bathroom includes eco-friendly cork flooring and a hand-painted wall, which was once cluttered with toiletries - now hidden out of sight behind added doors.

Yellow fever

The owners of this everything-yellow-coloured bathroom particularly wanted the faux granite countertops and sheet mirror removed. The bathroom makeover included finding common ground between a couple whose traditional and modern styles collide. Painted white cabinets, a recycled glass countertop and a soothing blue wall colour do the trick.

Dated design

These newlyweds needed to overhaul their bright yellow, nautical bathroom. The outdated vanity and wallpaper made the room seem small and crowded. Gone are the lighthouses. The wallpaper is replaced with aqua-blue paint and tile now covers the vanity wall. A shelf completes the modern, tranquil bathroom.

Hip to be square

A young, hip couple have a bathroom was anything but. The owners particularly disliked the low ceiling and outdated vanity. Everything about this bathroom is modern from the mirror to the pebble tile wall and the floating vanity to the eco-friendly elements and artwork.
