The tiles in the shower are covered with a white haze that can't be removed with regular household cleaners.

Is your shower looking a bit on the grubby side? Perhaps there are hard water stains or mineral deposits on the tiles and shower door, or there could be mould growing in certain places. We show you how easy it is to refresh your shower using nothing more than white spirit vinegar.

All you need to do is pour some white spirit vinegar into a spray bottle, and liberally spray this onto the tiles or areas where hard water stains or mineral deposits have built up over time. Let the vinegar work its magic for an hour or two before you give a light scrub and rinse clean. It really is as easy as that!

You can use white spirit vinegar to remove hard water stains and mineral deposits on tiles, floors, and particularly around the bottom of shower doors where it tends to collect and build up.

GOOD TO KNOW: Use an old toothbrush and nail scrubbing brush to get into difficult areas.

White spirit vinegar is also an excellent product for killing and removing mould in the shower. Simply fill up a spray bottle and apply liberally to areas where there is mould. Note that cheaper silicone sealers might be affected by the vinegar and you may need to re-apply silicone sealer if this is the case.
