Below is a quick guide to taking care of your RV.

Going away for a holiday in an RV is incredibly fun. There are just so many exciting things to do- you can visit places you’ve never been to before, you can go away with the people you are closest to (whether that’s family, friends or both) and there are plenty of adventures to be had. I’ve been away on plenty of camping trips myself and know all about the good times that can be had, but it’ll make your time away even better if you make sure you take good care of your RV. If it gets into a state, it won’t be pleasant to spend time in and it’ll make everyone feel a little bit worse. That’s why I’m here today, though, so don’t worry. Here’s a quick guide to taking care of your RV.

The first thing I reckon you need to do is make sure that your RV toilet is always in good condition. It doesn’t matter where you are for this- if a toilet is unclean and isn’t kept in good condition, noone will want to go in, and we all need to go to the toilet relatively frequently. That’s why you need to clean it as regularly if you can. This will ensure that it stays clean in general and that no infections of any kind will be able to spread. You also need to have a think about what objects you have in your bathroom too. Do you, for example, have the right toilet for your RV bathroom? Or is it too big or too small? If you’re not sure about that kind of thing,

You also need to take care of the rest of your RV. While a toilet probably has to be cleaned a bit more often than other parts of the van, it’s wise to keep on top of all areas. This goes for the likes of bedrooms and the sitting area- and any other rooms your RV might have. There will be a lot of people moving throughout your RV during the day and night, and if you’ve been out on nature walks all day there’s a chance that some dodgy stuff might get trailed around. Making sure you stay on top of all cleaning will ensure the chances of this happening are reduced.

Try not to leave your RV sitting on its own for too long, either. If you only go away once or twice a year in your van, it can be easy to forget about it for an extended period of time. While you might be a little lazy, this isn’t the wisest of moves. If you leave it, particularly after a trip away where it’s been raining, your RV could end up getting covered in rust or mould. These kinds of things can be a nightmare to get rid of, so make sure you’re always visiting your RV at its storage place to keep on top of any required cleaning.
