This unique beech wood desk is wrapped in denim and finished off with studs and has a poured resin top with aluminium square tube inlays. Designed and assembled by Positive Couple, we have included the video at the bottom of this page, so that you can see for yourself how the desk and top were created.

The Beech desk has a denim-wrap detail around the front, sides and back of the desk, as well as the drawer fronts on the front face of the desk.

The poured resin top covers a layer of various sizes of aluminium square tube cut outs that give the desk top a totally unique design that is truly one-of-a-kind.

The aluminium inlays were cut from aluminium square tube in different sizes. Using a jigsaw, thicknesses of 5mm wide pieces were cut to fill up the desk top.

The aluminium cut outs were arranged on an acrylic panel in a curved cut out in the Beech desk top.

Once the design was finished, resin was mixed and poured over the top of the aluminium cut outs.

Once the top is cured and polished, it is framed to fit into the opening created in the desk frame.

For more information on this project, and to see how the desk was made, see the video below.
