This colourful decor accessory will light up a shelf and you can easily upcycle an old or unused picture frame to make your own lighted slogan accessory.

YOU WILL NEED:

Picture frame

PC printer and paper

Craft knife and cutting mat

Sprayable adhesive

Rust-Oleum 2X spray paint in 3 colours

Masking tape

LED fairy lights, battery operated

HERE'S HOW:

1. For this project, you will need a picture frame that is large enough to display the entire slogan you have selected. Remove the back of the picture frame.

2. Print out the letters for your slogan and spray the back with sprayable adhesive. Stick these onto the front of the glass in your picture frame.

3. Arrange the letters neatly and line up equally so that they fill up the available space and then wrap the frame with masking tape to protect from spray paint.

4. Working with three different spray paint colours, spray one colour to start off and over one-third of the glass.

5. Spray the centre third with your second colour and then spray the last third with your final colour.

6. Once the paint is dry, carefully peel off the letters.

7. Gently peel off the masking tape around the frame and flip the frame over.

8. For this project, you need LED fairy lights that are battery operated. If you want to use lights that have a power cord, make sure your finished board will be close to a power source.

9. Arrange the fairy lights over the back of the glass. You can use a few transparent sticky dots if you want to stick the lights in place on the back of the glass.

GOOD TO KNOW: Slip the cord through the edge of the backing so that you can easily switch on and off.

10. Replace the back of the picture frame and enjoy!
