'Oh-so-easy' Arrabiata Sauce

Impress your family and friends by making your own arrabiata sauce with a combination of onion, garlic, chillies, tomatoes and rocket. Cook in bulk and freeze so it's on hand for pasta dinners.


  • Serves 4
  • Preparation Time: 5 mins
  • Cooking Time: 20 mins


  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp. tomato paste
  • 1 sachet Knorr Spaghetti Bolognaise Cook-In Sauce
  • 2 tsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 1 red onion, finely chopped
  • 3 small red chillies, halved, deseeded, finely chopped
  • 400ml cold water
  • 400 g can whole peeled tomatoes
  • 40 g baby rocket leaves






  1. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat
  2. Add onion and garlic
  3. Cook, stirring, for 3 minutes
  4. Add chillies and tomato paste
  5. Cook for 1 minute
  6. Add water and Knorr Spaghetti Bolognaise Cook-In Sauce and canned tomatoes
  7. Cook, stirring often, for 15 minutes or until sauce thickens
  8. Stir in balsamic vinegar
  9. Season with salt and pepper
  10. Toss with your favourite pasta
  11. Add rocket and serve
