Baked Baby Marrows

Fried baby marrows dipped in a seasoned batter and layered with bolognaise sauce makes this a tasty bake.


  • Serves 4
  • Preparation Time: 5 mins
  • Cooking Time: 45 mins




  • 12 baby marrows
  • 125 ml seasoned cake flour
  • 1 x 500 g bottle Knorr Bolognaise Cook-in-Sauce
  • 8 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Oil for frying
  • 30 ml Parmesan cheese, grated


  1. Dip whole baby marrows in egg, and then into seasoned flour
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and lightly fry the baby marrows until browned
  3. Spoon a layer of Knorr Bolognaise Cook-in-Sauce into a small sized, greased ovenproof dish and sprinkle with some Parmesan
  4. Top with half the baby marrows and add a layer of mozzarella slices
  5. Repeat the layers ending with a layer of Knorr Cook-in-Sauce
  6. Arrange extra mozzarella slices on top and bake for 20-30 min
