Mosaic magic
You will need:
Prominent Universal Undercoat
Prominent Sheen or Prominent Ultragloss
Rust-Oleum Paint Pen
Heavy-duty adhesive
Ready-mixed grout
TOOLS: Hammer, tile nippers, safety gloves, sponge and clean cloth
Here's how:
1. Clean and lightly sand door.
2. Apply universal undercoat and 2 to 3 coats of white paint, allowing paint to dry after each coat.
3. Break flat dishes or buy packaged ceramic pieces at crafts stores.
4. On the raised panel area, lay pieces like a puzzle, leaving about 3 to 5mm between pieces.
5. Once pieces are arranged, adhere one at a time to cabinet door with adhesive. Let dry overnight.
6. Apply grout between the pieces, keeping the outside edge of the mosaic design smooth; allow it to dry.
7. Gently sand rough spots and polish the ceramic pieces.
8. Using a Rust-Oleum paint pen or small brush, outline the arched pane in a complementary colour.
