Trendy teen bedrooms
Stuck with a small bedroom for a tween or teen. I have done some 'surfin' and come across some clever ideas that would work - no matter how small the bedroom!
The simple idea behind all the teen bedrooms featured here is full use of the available space by creating dual purpose furniture. Beds that double up as under-bed drawers, that lift up into cabinets, or sofa beds that are for seating and sleeping.
ABOVE: Sleep and store
Positioning the bed over drawer storage means that teen paraphernalia can be neatly stored and won't clutter up the room. The headboard behind the beds also extends to form a support for the desk. The deep rose colour of the walls, storage and bed linen is kept light by adding clean white Roman blinds and including white storage into the mix.
RIGHT: Bedroom in a box
Everything is designed into one compact unit that fits into the smallest bedroom. The platform bed is installed above a walk-in closet with plenty of space for clothes and accessories. The study area is mounted above a two-door storage cabinet.
ABOVE: Clean and modern
This long narrow bedroom has plenty of built-ins to provide for sleeping, study and storage. The closet is angled across the corner to reduce on floor space, whilst the bed sits on plenty of drawers for additional storage room. For a modern look a light and dark shades of teal and cream were chosen for the room to complement the light wood furniture and floor.
