A room full of sunshine

The classic wrought-iron bed is a timeless design that will comfortably take your child from tot to teen. Combine it with pastel pink and yellow colours, pink appliqued gingham curtains and bedding and wooden storage pieces painted to match the colour scheme to create a really pretty bedroom.

Here's how:

- Give plain picture frames a fun new look by painting them   white and mounting designer postcards framed with   gingham fabric.

- Hang from a peg rail using lengths of gingham ribbon.

- Add the finishing touch to your child's room by
customizing a mirror with pretty coloured gem stones or   glass beads. It's easy to do and is a great way to   encourage your child's creativity. Try this design on a   picture frame as well.

- Little girls love everything to coordinate, so choose bed   linen and curtains from the same range. If you are good at   sewing you could even have a go at embriodery or   applique.

- Make simple cushion covers in pretty florals and
ginghams to coordinate with the room.

- Try our project for a snazzy bedside table.
