Dare to do the unexpected and paint a plain white crib in a surprising new colour!
The fresh green colour provided by American Accents Green Apple turns the crib - an important item anyway - into the feature of this sunshine-filled bedroom.
A dull dresser took on a new life with a quick decorative treatment: first, paint the entire piece with American Accents soft Buttercup Yellow, add a coat of green apple on the drawer fronts, then ‘comb’ the green vertically and horizontally with a combing brush for an interesting checker board effect.
Create an inviting reading corner. The soft Buttercup Yellow walls enhance the crisp white cabinet and fittings, giving the room an inviting yet crisp, clean atmosphere. To add further interest to the plain cabinet, the back was painted in a matching Apple Green colour.

Create the look:
• Inexpensive wall shelves are sprayed a Green Apple colour and are perfect for displaying and hanging items.
• An fun way to personalise baby’s space while preserving a memory - brush a light coat of black acrylic paint on baby’s feet and hand, then press two footprints on one piece of decorative paper, and a handprint on the other. Paint the picture frames in a Green Apple colour and mount your little one’s first masterpiece!
• Add unexpected touches throughout the room to create visual interest. The lamp stand was painted with Classic Bronze, the lampshade was hand painted with a bright yellow design, and the wicker basket with Green Apple.
• Use softly patterned fabrics for the valance, cushions and cot linen. The room has sufficient visual interest without the addition of loud or bright fabrics.
