How to... Paint Clouds

Clouds make the perfect backdrop for all types of wall murals – jungle, garden, beach, and more! Paint clouds on the walls, paint them on the ceiling, or paint them on both – they are a perfect way to bring the outdoors in!

You will need:
- Acrylic paint - 4 shades of blue + white
- Scumble glaze
- Paintbrushes
- Chalk, white
- Clean Cloth

Here's how:
1. Start by painting the background in sky blue. Use a matt or satin finish for best effect.     Allow to dry completely.

2. Draw your cloud shapes onto the wall with white chalk.

3. You will be working in layers for the cloud shapes. Start by applying white to paint the     entire surface area for the cloud.

4. You don't have to wait for the white to dry before painting a soft outline in lightest blue     [see pic above].

5. Now apply a darker shade of blue over the lightest blue. Don't cover too much area,     you are simply going to add dimension to the shape.

6. Finally, finish off with the darkest shade of blue, again using only on small areas for     effect. Leave your clouds to dry completely.

7. For practicality and washability you might want to finish off with a coat of Plascon     Waterbased Glaze.
