Pink bedrooms for little girls

Decorate a bedroom fit for your little princess. Whether she wants pink or lime green and orange, adding colour and decor to a bedroom has never been easier.

ABOVE: A combination of different shades of pink create a room that is colourful and fun and at the same time relaxing without being too overpowering. Almost everything in this kids room is pink, even bedding and rugs. The furniture in the room provides for plenty of organisation and storage.

If you cannot afford to have a bedroom set custom made for a room, consider the option of buying  pine furniture and painting in your choice of colour. With a coat or two of  Rust-Oleum Painters Touch 2X Gloss spray you can colour a whole bedroom full of furniture in a weekend.

Make your own decor accessories - all you need is timber or board and basic do-it-yourself skills to design and create a unique bedroom for your little darling. The knick-knack shelf is easily modified to add decorative storage to walls.

ABOVE: Shades of pink and white - with just a hint of yellow - work very well in a small bedroom.

Paint melamine built-in cupboard doors with colour to match room decor.

It's easy: take off the doors and sand down with an orbital sander with 120- and then 240-grit sandpaper to remove the 'gloss' from the doors. Apply one or two coats of Rust-Oleum 2X Satin spray to the doors, let dry and then re-hang the doors.

Modular children's bedroom furniture is designed to fit into the smallest rooms to provide essential storage without taking up valuable floor space. Measure out the floor and wall space in a room and have cupboards, beds and furniture made to fit.

ABOVE: A more sophisticated and grow-up bedroom using a combination of white, pinks and black. A touch of glamour is added with silver and crystal accessories.

Black and pink together are perfect for decorating a teen bedroom. All you need to add are funky decor accessories and a few home-made goodies.

Have mirrors cut to size at your local glass merchant. Use masking tape and Rust-Oleum Paint Pens to create a faux mosaic frame around the outside of the mirror.

You can also use your paint pens to apply designs onto the mirror fronts.
