You will need:
- Cabinet
- Drop cloth
- Large paint brush
- Sand paper
- Clean cloth
- Artist's paintbrush
- Stencil (optional)
- Paper towels
- Masking tape
- Newspaper
- Chalkboard paint
- Primer (optional)
- Acrylic paint: white - light blue - green
Here's how:
1. Remove the doors from the cabinet and move everything
to a paint friendly area. Use a drop cloth to cover the
floor and protect nearby items from drips.
2. Start by lightly sanding the entire piece and wiping
clean with a cloth.
3. Use the large brush to prime everything. (Priming is
optional, but you should always prime fresh wood or
something with a dark finish.) Follow manufacturer's
guidelines and allow to dry completely.
4. Lay the doors flat and mark off a frame with masking
tape. Apply chalkboard paint to the inside of the doors.
Let dry and then remove the masking tape.
5. Paint the cabinet and front of doors with white paint.
You may want to paint a frame around the inside of
doors as well.
6. Use an artist's paintbrush (or optional stencil) to hand
paint spirals with blue and green on the outside of the
doors.
