Cleaning natural stone tiles

Over time the surface of natural stone tiles can become dull and to refresh stone tiles it's a good idea to give them a really intensive cleaning at least once a year - preferably twice a year - to remove grime build up that everyday cleaning doesn't remove.

Natural stone tiles are perfect for floors that attract dirt. Kids, pets and plenty of entertaining don't show easily on these tiles and they are much quicker to clean up. But over time the surface of these tiles can become dull and to refresh stone tiles it's a good idea to give them a really intensive cleaning at least once a year - preferably twice a year - to remove grime build up that everyday cleaning doesn't remove.

For this purpose you will need to use Tile and Floor Care Easy Clean diluted with water to a ratio of 1:10 for heavy dirt. Mix up and pour into a spray bottle for easy application. Spray the mixture onto tiles and leave for approximately 5 minutes. You don't want to let it dry. Use a mop and clean water to repeatedly rinse the area until the floor is clean. You will be amazed at the amount of dirt that comes off the tiles!

GOOD TO KNOW:

On slate tiles the natural imperfections in the tile always seem to build up a layer of grime that can be easily removed with a quick spray - leave for 5 minutes - and then a light scrub with a scrubbing brush before wiping clean with a mop.

Finish off the floor with a wipe over and freshly scented tile cleaner.
