Recycled timber pallets now designer range

Reclaimed timber and wood has become one of the most easily recycled and eco friendly materials on the planet. Reclaimed timber can be repurposed into fencing and furniture, and timber pallets provide the perfect opportunity for even those unskilled at DIY to give it a try. But Sascha Akkermann takes it one step further... creating contemporary furniture using timber pallets.

 

This simple sideboard was built out of old wood pallets. Sanded to a smooth finish and treated with Danish wood oil, a timber pallet becomes a collector's piece.

Everyone loves a coffee table made from reclaimed timber and this simple table, made from old timber pallets, is given plenty of loving care to nourish the old wood to create a centrepiece for the home.

A sideboard make from an old toolbox features steel legs painted white. Treated with Danish wood oil you can shorten the legs on the sideboard to use as a coffee table.

This herb ladder is ideal for the balcony or small terrace and the shape ensure that all plants receive the same amount of sunlight. The herb ladder is 100% handmade using reclaimed timber. Herb pots not included !

This table was sanded down to remove old wood to reveal the fresher wood below. Manufactured only using recycled timber and organic furniture oil, the table becomes a 100% eco friendly product.

The random arrangement of the wood makes this stool a unique piece. But more than just a stool, this piece also functions as a side table for indoors or outdoors.

These cubes are made from reclaimed timber pallets. The size of the cubes means you can use them as tools, side table or coffee table. The wood has been sanded and treated with organic furniture oil. The cubes are open at the base.
