How to clean stainless steel

Routine cleaning of stainless steel will retain both the corrosion resistance and appearance of stainless steel through years of exposure and use. Keep your stainless steel looking good with these suggestions.

High shine
Remove heavy marks with cream cleaner or a mixture of bicarbonate of soda and water paste. To avoid scratching the surface of stainless steel, never use abrasive cleaners that will damage and dull the surface. Always clean stainless steel with the grain and never scrub in a circular pattern.

Hard water
Discoloration and most marks on stainless steel are caused by water-borne deposits clinging to the surface. Remove limescale and hard water stains with vinegar or lemon juice. Apply the mixture to the area to be cleaned and gently rub with a cloth.

One of the best ways to keep your stainless steel sink in pristine condition is to clean it with Inox Crème, which can be used daily.

Easy maintenance
To bring out the shine on a stainless steel sink, generously sprinkle either table salt or baking soda into the sink and then use the cut end of half a fresh lemon as a pad. Rinse with hot water and the sink will gleam!
