Use reclaimed pine pallets to make a riddling rack
Riddling racks were used for aiding the fermenting process when making champagne. The simple design for a riddling rack makes them ideal as wine racks, and you can easily make your own riddling rack.
Wine bottles are inclined at a 45-degree angle on a riddling rack. The front of the rack consists of bored holes and batten at the back that overlap the bored holes to hold the bottle neck firmly in place.
Using reclaimed pine or meranti pallets is a great way to make your own riddling rack for wine bottles for free. Use the thicker pallet supports for the main part of the board, and all other boards as supports at the back of the riddling rack.
