Quick Tip: Packaging boo-boo

If you buy screws at a certain hardware store, the packaging can be confusing - so check that you buy the right screws.

Sometimes the packaging for products can be confusing and misleading, but this weekend I discovered - when one of the DIY Divas brought this up - that packaging for screws at a well known hardware store is very confusing indeed. Rather than give the screw diameter - they give the screw head diameter.

Not sure why they do this, because it's important to know the diameter of the actual screw in order to drill the correct pilot hole, and also to be sure you're using the right size of screw for a project. Unless you actually know what you are looking for, based on experience, you need to visit their website to find out exactly what screws you are buying.
