Springtime Napkins

An evening is all it takes to braid up a table full of these pretty napkin rings. Great idea for a kids' birthday party.

You will need:
- 3 colours of pipe cleaners
- Paper towel tube
- Ruler

Here's how:
1. Choose six pipe cleaners, two of each colour. Even up the ends of stems, grouping colours. Leaving 8 cm at one end, begin to braid the stems. Stop braiding 8 cm from the opposite end.

2. For looped ends, bend over the stems to form loops. Secure by wrapping a separate stem around the ends. Tuck end of stem into wraps.

3. For wrapped ends, braid entire length of six stems. Wrap ends tightly with a separate stem.

4. To shape, wrap braided stems around a paper tube.
