This simple graphic stamped-on pattern adds a sassy tone to a plain colour-wash wall. The celery-green hue is perfect for a room with too much sun. A dollop of pink is all it takes to make the palette pop to life.Glaze, washed over a base coat on the dot-stamped wall and rolled and combed on the swirl design, provides various degrees of movement.

You will need:
- Sating paint: Light Green (LG), Lime Green (MG), white   (WH)
- Scumble glaze
- Bucket
- Soft rags
- Paintbrush
- Paper plate
- Polka-dot stencil (or create your own)
- Stencil brush

Here's how:
1. Base-coat the wall with LG; let dry.

2. Mix 4 parts glazing medium to 1 part MG.

3. Scrunch a soft rag and dip it into the glaze mixture. Wash the glaze onto the wall using a circular motion. Use a brush for corners and around any moulding, then go over the surface with the rag to remove brushstrokes. Let dry approximately two to four hours according to product instructions. Repeat glaze application to create a second layer.

4. Use the stencil and stencil brush to apply paint to the surface of the wall. Start the first row approximately 20cm from the ceiling and placing rows 20cm apart.
