Now you CAN paint floors
Concrete has become today's eco-friendly choice for modern homes. Whether polished, etched, tinted or painted, there are many options available for decorating a concrete floor and other types of flooring as well.

Now, Prominent Paints 2-pack polyurethane floor coating provides a tough polyurethane enamel coating for interior and exterior use.
Prominent Paints floor coating outperforms conventional decorative coatings and is 100% water and chemical resistant and will withstand diluted acids, alkalis and solvents - making it the perfect finish for garage and other floors. Plus it's 100% lead free and manufactured under strict SABS ISO 9001 quality standards.
TOP and LEFT: With inspiration provided by Royal Design Studio, this project uses a large stencil design to create a 'lace' finish on a concrete floor.
You can purchase the pattern online, or create your own with a sheet of plastic, craft knife and some time to spare. To achieve the end result you will need patience and attention to detail, but the result is so worth it.
To apply the product surfaces must be sound, clean and dry before application. Plaster sand to comply with SABS 1090 requirements. Some preparation is required on certain surfaces:
Steel: Apply one coat Prominent Paints Etch Primer.
Fibreglass: Abrade to matt finish, remove dust and apply directly.
Concrete: Acid wash and prime with one coat Prominent Paints 2-pack Floor Epoxy.
Wood: Sand, apply 1 coat thinned down 15% and two coats undiluted.
Existing paint: Strip down and treat as new work or on sound paint surfaces.
Epoxy coatings: Abrade to a matt finish, clean with ProGold GP Cleaner and apply directly.
Prominent Paint products are available at your local Prominent Paints outlet or Decorating Centre.
