How to make a hollow core door look like wood
You only need a wood graining rocker, wood stain (I like to use Woodoc Gel Stain), lint-free cloth and polyurethane varnish to make a hollow core or steel door look like wood.
Replace ZAR wood stain with a tinted polyurethane varnish and finish off with a clear polyurethane varnish.
Although this video makes it seem easy, do try a few test attempts before you tackle the main project. There is an art to rocking the wood graining tool, and it's far better to mess up on a scrap of wood!
