You will need:
Rust-Oleum Frosted Glass Spray paint
Self-adhesive vinyl
Craft knife
Stencil and thin, permanent marker
Masking tape
Glass cleaner and clean, lint-free cloth
Here's how:
Preparation - clean the window thoroughly using a glass cleaner and a soft, lint-free cloth. Cut self-adhesive sheet to fit window size and affix to pane, pressing out any air bubbles. If more than one width is needed, slightly overlap the edges slightly.
1. Draw your design free-hand onto the vinyl sheet with the marker, or copy using your pre-cut stencil.
2. Cut around the drawn lines using a craft knife, applying just enough pressure to cut through the vinyl.
3. Remove vinyl surrounding the design areas, using tip of craft knife to lift edges and peel away. The rub away any traces of adhesive left on the glass with cleaner and a cloth.
4. Mask off woodwork around window and surrounding wall to protect from over spray.
5. Check to be sure the glass surface is free of dust. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for applying spray. Spray onto the window in a sweeping motion from left to right, lightly respraying the surface several times. Allow to dry for 15 minutes. Repeat two or three times for good coverage.
6. Remove vinyl in design areas, using tip of craft knife to left edges. Gently rub away any traces of adhesive left on the glass, using a soft cloth dipped in glass cleaner.
