A pair of cotton sheets make the most wonderful drape and all the seams are perfectly finished. The bigger the sheets, the more luxurious and elegant the window will look - drapes should always be generous.
White Mischief
Wooden pegs can be wedged into a piece of wood - if you drill the holes at an angle, the fixing will be stronger as well as more decorative.
Here's How:
Attach tapes at equal lengths along the top edge of the sheets and then tie the tapes securely and neatly to the pegs and arrange the drapes.
Egyptian Dream
Small details such as the curtain clips on this project make the important difference between an obvious and an elegant solution to curtain hanging. The white muslin lawn is a generously long piece, folded in half, allowing a drop twice the length of the window - it really is a very simple, yet elegant example of window dressing! Small brass curtain clips fit over the rail and catch the muslin along the fold.
Here's How:
Knot the front drop of muslin on to the end of a spear and prop this across the window. If you can't find a spear, use a long dowel rod that is stained to match the mounting rail.
