Even when they aren't casting a candlelit glow, these festive votive holders are a decorative accent for tables.
Simple shapes created with glass paints are combined to form the floral accents, putting this project well within the reach of even the artistically challenged.
Here's how:
1. For all votive candleholders, wash and dry the
candleholder. Avoid touching the areas to be
painted.
2. For the red flowers, remove the top of the glossy
(or if you prefer: dip a pencil eraser in the paint)
and dot once on the top half of the candleholder as
shown in Photo A. Let dry.
3. Add three more dots at the top of each flower
as shown in Photo B (or dip a paintbrush handle
into the colour.
4. Mix red with white and add five pink dots in the
same manner. Dip a pencil tip in white to
highlight each flower. Paint green leaves and
stems. Let dry.
Design Tip:
If at any time you make a mistake, simply wipe off with a clean, dry cloth.
If you want to change the look, peel off the designs and add your new designs.
