Crafty wood Christmas tree decorations
If you own a Dremel MultiTool, you can easily craft your own decorations using nothing more than branches cut from your own garden.

You will need:
Medium-thickness branches
Mitre or off-cut saw*
Dremel MultiTool
Cut-off wheels
Safety goggles
220-grit sandpaper
Green embroidery thread
*or use your Dremel MultiTool as we did for our wooden buttons

Cut the branches into 5mm thick sections. You can make them slightly thicker if you wish.
When using a mitre or cut-off saw, be sure to securely clamp the branch to prevent it from slipping as you cut.
When using a Dremel MultiTool to cut the sections, clamp the branch securely to a workbench and wear safety glasses.

Use a ruler and pencil to divide each section up into the shape you want to cut.

Pop on your safety glasses and work at a medium speed to cut out the detailing.
Use a 2mm drill bit to make a hole for hanging the decoration.
Sand with 220-grit sandpaper and a smooth finish and then insert a length of green embroidery thread to hang.
