Autumn decor picture frame
As the trees start to shed their leaves you can pick up or break off a few small branches from trees in the garden to create a live picture for hanging on the wall.

ABOVE: I hot-glued a couple of cute little birdies on the twigs for effect.

Look for branches that have a nice lines and that will work for mounting into a picture frame.
You can use very small and medium-thickness twigs and branches for the arrangement.

Use a pair or secateurs to cut off any sections that stick out too much or that look out of place when you start to lay out the design.

Re-purpose an old picture frame or make a new frame from scratch.
Don't forget that you can attend a free workshop at Grand Designs Live - Coca Cola Dome - from 25 to 27 May 2012. I will be showing you how easy it is to make picture frames from scratch.

Trim the branches so that they fit nicely along the back edge of the frame.
To keep the branches in place, apply a blob of hot glue to each branch.
