Create something unique with a porcelain pen

With just one porcelain pen you can transform a whole dinner service, add quirky touches to ceramics, or just have fun creating unique gifts for family and friends. A porcelain pen is easy to use to draw freehand designs - or get ideas off the Internet - and permanently apply to ceramic and porcelain.

You can buy porcelain pens at leading stationery stores or online at a cost of about R85 each. To use a porcelain pen you simply press down on the tip firmly and hold down until the paint begins to flow into the tip. After you have finished your design you allow the painted surface to dry and then bake the piece at 150°C for 30 minutes in your oven. After use, replace the marker cap securely to prevent marker dryout. The baked-on design is permanent and dishwasher-safe and contains no toxic ingredients.
