DIY small coastal-style table
I love this small whitewashed table. It would be nice for in the garden or on the deck for relaxing on cushions or a blanket. The table is made using an old pallet, but these days pallets are becoming hard to come by due to the demand (see Recycling Crafts), but you can always use PAR pine from your local Builders Warehouse, or offcuts that you have lying around.

If you would prefer a higher table you can always place one pallet on top of another, or design a frame to support the top of the table.

There are various limewash or whitewashing techniques in our Decorating Section that can be used to finish the table.

What makes this table different is the added rope that is slotted between the slats of the tabletop and tied with knots at each end.
Builders Warehouse have a selection of ropes that you could use.
