Make a laptop stand
Using old things in a new way not only saves money β the result can look pretty good too. Like this laptop stand based on an old kitchen roll holder.

You will need:
- An old kitchen roll wall holder (or something similarly curved)
- A perspex sheet or 8mm glass cut to size
- Screws
- A drill
- Your IXO

When making things yourself, you especially need to have a good eye. Instead of the kitchen roll holder, you can also use something else β if itβs got the right shape and can be fitted to a sheet. Simply let your imagination run wild.

Drill two holes into the perspex sheet using a drill adjusted to a low speed.
If using glass, use glass and tile bits to drill holes in the glass.

Fit the cross strut to the perspex sheet and carefully screw on the bracket. Tip: this is best done using a torque setting adapter at a low setting.
