Burlap or linen table runner
This charming table runner features flowers that give it a contemporary touch. The runner is made from durable burlap fabric that’s covered in fun stencilled patterns.
Burlap is a strong and affordable home decor material. The fibres accept paint easily, and any slight imperfections in your paint job will simply enhance its rustic look.

You will need:
Acrylic craft paint
Stencil brush
Stencil - or make your own
Piece of cardboard
Piece of wax paper
Pins
Spray adhesive
Here's how:

Step 1
To get started, place cardboard and wax paper under the burlap.
Pin the fabric to hold it taut. If you want to pre-position the stencil locations, use a chalk pencil to make light marks.

Step 2
Lightly spray adhesive on the back of the stencil.
Let it dry for a couple of minutes, so the bond will be temporary.
Carefully position the stencil over the pattern’s chalk marks (inset).
Place the stencil on the burlap, and press it down.

Step 3
Dab paint on the stencil with a stencil brush.
Be sure to apply the paint evenly and fill in all of the openings.
After the paint has set up for a few minutes, gently pull up the stencil.
