Easy Table Centrepiece

So simple yet the perfect centrepiece decoration for your festive dining table, whether you make one or make a set of 3 in different sizes. This triangular bauble decoration can be fitted with tree ornaments of any colour to complement your table decorations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

YOU WILL NEED:

1800mm length of 12mm thick pine

Christmas bauble

Cup hook

Wood glue

Transparent nylon line

TOOLS:

Mitre saw or Bosch PKS 16 Multi Saw

Drill/Driver plus assorted bits

Sander plus 240-grit sanding pads

Pliers

Tape measure and pencil

 

The Bosch PKS 16 Multi is a mini hand-held circular that accepts cutting blades for tiles, wood and multi material, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Significantly smaller and more compact, the Bosch PKS 16 Multi is especially easy to operate and control – even one-handed. The tool is also equipped with a lowerable saw blade, allowing you to easily and safely carry out plunge cuts.

 

 

 

 

HERE'S HOW:

 

 

1. Determine the size for your decoration. A good size for the dining table is 400mm for the sides and 300mm for the bottom length.

Cutting angles:

 

2. Cut the strips to the required length and lightly sand to remove any splinters or rough edges.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Apply wood glue to the edges to join the sections in the shape of a triangle. Press the strips together firmly to ensure they stick.

 

 

4. Drill a 2mm pilot hole for the hook at the top centre of the triangle. Use a pair of pliers to screw in the hook. Cut a length of transparent line to hang your ornament.
