You will need:
- Lightweight sheer fabric
- 2 x Curtains poles (width of fabric plus 10cm)
- 4 x Hooks and drywall fixings
- 1m medium-link chain
- Ribbon (to match your fabric)
- Screws
Here's how:
1. Determine the position of the hooks to arrange the canopy directly over the bed; affix to the ceiling with drywall (expandable) fixings.
2. Attach chain to top of poles with screws.
3. Place the ribbon at the four points on your fabric to allow for a comfortable drape. You don't want the fabric to pull, it should hang slightly over the bed area.
4. Hang the poles on the hooks (two people will be required for this).
Finish off the look with a sheer window treatment and cotton bedding in complementary colours.
