Recognising that the definition of home is not only centred on visual appeal, the 2018 East Coast Radio House & Garden Show aims to broaden on the physical definitions of home by adding exciting male-focused features to their line-up of interior trends and workshops. Themed “Home is Where the Heart”, the 2018 show takes place from 29 June to 8 July at The Durban Exhibition Centre.

 Cairey Baxter-Bruce - Show Director

With a particular focus on the interests of men, the show will feature male-centric activities including outdoor ideas for the home, home-automation, DIY, the KZN Travel and Adventure Show, Geekville & the Durban Gaming Expo, craft beer stations and a Gin Garden Bar.

“We don’t want to be seen as a niche event for those renovating or redecorating; we want to appeal to everyone. This year, we’ve pulled out all the stops to ensure that every family member can experience something enjoyable,” says Baxter-Bruce.

Food is often one of the things that set the scene for a home; and as such, in partnership with Durban Tourism, the brand-new Discover Durban Cuisine Kitchen will highlight cultural, traditional, and contemporary foods with local chefs as they present their top tips, inspired flavour combinations and favourite dishes in an interactive demonstration kitchen. The popular Foodie Fair is back with double the mouth-watering flavour; offering delicious street food, desserts, artisanal and speciality delicacies.

Those hankering for a tipple with a twist, can look forward to discovering great new flavours at the wide selection of Craft Beer stations, and the Gin Garden Bar in the Green Fingers area, offering botanical splashes of refreshment.
