Quick Tip: Clean Grimy Windows
Cleaning grimy windows and glass doors is one of those cleaning chores you have to get around to sooner or later. It's easy to make your own effective window cleaning product with household products you may already have.
Besides saving money. this easy to make cleaning product is eco-friendly too! All you need is white spirit vinegar and / or baby shampoo to clean glass and leave your windows sparkling.
HERE'S HOW:
GOOD TO KNOW: Wait for a cool, cloudy day to wash glass - you don't want the window cleaner to dry too quickly and leave streaks.
1. Treat any marks or tough spots with a solution of warm water and baby shampoo. Use a plastic scraper to remove.
2. For extra grimy windows, use a hose pipe to rinse these down and remove as much excess dirt as possible.
3. Use a soft cloth or sponge to wash down the windows with a solution of 1½ cups of white spirit vinegar to a 5 litre bucket of warm water.
4. Rinse with clean water and quickly dry with a microfibre cloth for sparkling clean windows and glass doors.
