You will need:
- 1.5m x 2.5m melamine or MDF/Supawood
- Edging strip if using melamine
- 8 shelving brackets
5mm wall screws and plugs
- Wood screws
- Jigsaw
- Medium- and fine-grit sandpaper
Here's how:
1. Lay a hose or cord along one edge of the timber in the desired curved shape;
trace.
2. Cut the curve with a jigsaw, sand, and carefully iron on the heat-activated
melamine edging.
3. Affix brackets with screws and plugs to the wall, then toenail the back edge of
the desk onto the brackets, using wood screws. ·
4. Hang the desk from the ceiling with vinyl rope (the kind used for a car tow),
attaching it to the desk with I-bolts and to the ceiling joists with eye screws.
5. When deciding on position and size of the desk, be sure to take into account
your child's (or your) study needs.
Leave room for a lamp, computer, books, and papers. Add storage containers to corral markers, pens, pencils, and other school supplies.
Note: This desk is not intended to take the weight of a PC Monitor, but will easily accept a Laptop computer.
